Denver Residential Roofers: Should I Replace My Roof?

Denver Residential Roofers: Should I Replace My Roof?

Replacing your roof is unavoidable for long-term homeowners. Most people don’t look forward to replacing their roof, because it is expensive and inconvenient home renovation. However, it is important to know when you should expect to invest in a new roof. At Denver Roofers, we are here to provide useful, relevant information on all things roofing. In today’s blog, we’ll share four signs that it is time to replace your roof.

Damaged or Missing Shingles

It is common to invest in roof repairs before replacing a roof in its entirety. While you’ll likely replace your roof’s shingles throughout the years, at some point it’s beyond repair. Look for signs like missing or cracked shingles, shingles covered in moss, or curling shingles. If your roof has only a few damaged shingles then they can easily be replaced, but if your roof is beginning to look mismatched and worn, it may be best to replace it in its entirety.

Visible Cracks

There are number of ways to notice visible cracks in your roof. One of the most obvious (and uncomfortable) signs of cracks and holes is a leaky roof. Water and snow should not be able to enter your home, even during a heavy storm. Further, if you notice sunlight peeking into your home through the rough — you have leak. Water stains are another indication that a crack is forming in your rough. Depending on the extent of your roof’s damage you may be able to patch leaks, but larger cracks that cause structural damage may require your home’s entire roof to be replaced.

Sagging Roof

A sagging roof is one of the most severe problems your home can have. A sagging roof signifies there is a structural problem with your home, which can put you, your family, and belonging in imminent danger. A sagging roof is a problem that must be addressed immediately. If this sounds like your roof call Denver Roofers today!

25th Birthday

Most asphalt shingle roofs should last between 20 and 30 years. If your roof is 25-years or older, we encourage to have a professional roofing company inspect its quality and security. A good sign that you should replace your roof is if your neighbors are beginning to replace their own.

My roof has been having problems and I’m not sure what to do. It makes sense that I might want to have it replaced! The problems that it has been having have been going on for a long time, so repair would probably just be delaying the inevitable.
