Three Reasons to Inspect Your Denver, CO Roof Before Winter

Three Reasons to Inspect Your Denver, CO Roof Before Winter

Winter is just around the corner. If you haven’t had a roof inspection done in the past 12 months, now is the perfect time to have that done.

When you’re proactive about roof inspections and roof repair you’ll be able to catch (and deal with) small issues before they turn into large-scale problems. Besides, do you want to wait until the first snowfall to learn you have a leak?

We’re guessing the answer is no.

Below are our top 3 reasons to inspect your roof before winter hits.

The roofer can let you know if they see signs of weathering

When you contact Denver Roofers to perform a roof inspection we can let you know if we find any loose shingles. We can also inform you about shingles that are curling, cupping or have other types of damage.

If you can see that you have shingle damage while you’re standing on the ground, you’ll want to contact a local roofer right away. If this type of problem is left unchecked, it will be far more expensive to fix.

For more information about how damaged shingles can have a negative impact on your roofing system, call us today at 720-443-4202 to learn more.

Gutter problems can be handled promptly

Most people don’t give a lot of thought to their gutter systems, but gutters are a lot more important than you may think. If your gutters are full of debris, or they’re cracked, rusting or they’ve started to pull away from your roof, they’re not going to be able to do their job.

Namely, they won’t be able to keep water from flowing down the exterior walls of your home.

For more information on the types of things you should look for when you perform a visual inspection of your gutters, call Denver Roofers today.

You’ll be able to evict unwanted, furry tenants

Squirrels and chipmunks may be cute, but they can do a world of damage to your roofing system if they decide to make nests in one or more of your roof’s overhangs.

Nests and critters can both cause significant damage, and that damage can shorten the lifespan of your roofing system. When you inspect your roof before winter, you’ll be able to determine whether you have any unwanted tenants living on the top of your home.

That’s good to know that animals living in your roof can cause damage and make a big mess. I would think that a roof would be a great place for them to live since there is not predators and plenty of warm shelter. I’ll have to think about getting an inspection for my roof to see if there are any critters living up there.
